Billing

Billing & subscriptions

How pricing works, how to upgrade from the trial, how to manage your card and invoices.

How pricing works

Clox is a $29/month base that includes your first 3 users, then $6 per additional user per month (or $240/year plus $60 per user, about 20% off). The owner counts as a user. Every feature is included on every plan.

A 5-employee crew pays $41/month or $360/year. Adding or removing employees is prorated automatically.

Upgrading from the trial

  1. When ready, go to Settings
  2. Click Upgrade → in the Subscription row
  3. Choose monthly or annual
  4. You'll be taken to Stripe Checkout
  5. Enter your card. Submit.
  6. You're done. Your subscription is active

Managing billing after subscribing

Once you have an active subscription, the Subscription row in Settings shows Manage billing →. That opens the Stripe customer portal where you can:

  • Update your credit card
  • Download every invoice
  • Switch between monthly and annual
  • Cancel (subscription continues to end of current period)

What happens when you add an employee

Your subscription seat count updates automatically when an invitation is accepted. Stripe prorates the new seat for the rest of the billing period. You'll see the prorated charge on your next invoice.

Canceling

  1. Settings → click Manage billing →
  2. In the Stripe portal, click Cancel subscription
  3. Confirm

Your subscription stays active through the end of the current billing period. After that, the app goes into the same expired-trial state. Your data is preserved, you just can't access it until you re-subscribe.

Free trial and the money-back guarantee

Every account starts with a 14-day free trial, no card to begin. Your first paid subscription is also covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee: if Clox isn't a fit, email support@getclox.com within 30 days of your first charge for a full refund.

The guarantee applies once, to your first paid subscription, not to renewals. After the 30 days, fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Cancellation and seat changes

You can cancel anytime, and access continues to the end of the period you've already paid for. Removing seats mid-cycle gives you a prorated credit toward future invoices, not a cash refund. Adding seats is prorated and charged on your next invoice.
