Minutes to decimal, the part everyone double-checks
Payroll systems want decimal hours, and the conversion is easy to get wrong. The rule: divide minutes by 60.
So 38 hours 45 minutes enters payroll as 38.75, and 40 hours 20 minutes as 40.33.
