Beta Terms

Effective June 21, 2026

These Beta Terms ("Beta Terms") govern your participation in the Clox mobile app private beta for iOS, distributed through Apple TestFlight ahead of the public App Store launch. These Beta Terms apply only to the mobile app beta build. The Clox web app is a separate, generally available product and is not part of this beta. The beta is operated by Clox Labs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Clox", "we", "us", or "our"). By installing or using the beta build, you agree to these Beta Terms. If you join the beta on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to test Clox on its behalf.

This page is informational and is not legal advice. It describes how the Clox private beta works so you know what to expect as a tester.

1. Pre-release software

The beta is pre-release software. It is provided to you for testing and evaluation only, ahead of a general release. It is not the finished product, and it may behave differently from the version we eventually publish on the App Store.

The beta may be incomplete, and features may be added, changed, or removed at any time. We may pause, limit, or discontinue the beta, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice.

2. Provided as is and as available

The beta is provided strictly "as is" and "as available." It may contain bugs, errors, and other problems that could cause it to behave unexpectedly, and these issues are an expected part of beta software.

3. Data may be lost or corrupted

Because the beta is still under active development, it could lose, corrupt, or fail to save data, and data you enter during the beta may be reset or removed as we make changes.

You should not rely on the beta as your sole system of record. Keep independent copies of any information that matters to you, and do not use the beta as the source of truth for payroll, scheduling, or compliance decisions.

4. No warranties

THE BETA IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE BETA WILL BE AVAILABLE, UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ITS OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE.

5. No service level or support commitments

There is no service level agreement during the beta. We make no uptime, availability, response-time, or support commitments, and the beta may be unavailable at any time.

We may offer informal help to beta testers, but doing so is at our discretion and creates no obligation. The most reliable way to reach us during the beta is by email at support@getclox.com.

6. Free during the beta

The Clox web app is already a paid service. The mobile app beta build distributed through TestFlight is a free pre-release build, and it is free to use while it remains in beta.

Taking part in the mobile app beta does not change any existing web subscription, and it does not entitle you to free or discounted access to any paid plan. Our current plans and prices are listed on the pricing page at /pricing.

7. Feedback

We welcome your feedback, suggestions, bug reports, and ideas about the beta. You are not required to provide feedback, but if you do, you grant Clox a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, and incorporate that feedback into our products and services for any purpose, without any obligation or compensation to you.

8. Confidentiality of unreleased features

The beta may include features, screens, and information that have not been released to the public. Where we identify something as confidential or not yet announced, you agree to keep it confidential and not to share screenshots, recordings, or details of it publicly until we have made it generally available.

9. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to participate in the beta. You must also be authorized to test Clox on behalf of a business, and you are responsible for any data you enter and for obtaining any consent required by law before entering information about the people who work for you.

10. Relationship to the main Terms and Privacy Policy

Our main Terms of Service and Privacy Policy continue to apply to your use of the beta, except where these Beta Terms differ. Where there is a conflict, these Beta Terms control for matters specific to the beta.

You can read the full Terms of Service at /terms and the Privacy Policy at /privacy.

11. Leaving the beta

You may leave the beta at any time. To do so, open TestFlight, select Clox, and choose to stop testing, then delete the beta build from your device. You can also email support@getclox.com to ask us to remove you from the beta.

We may also remove you from the beta, or end the beta entirely, at any time. When the beta ends, the beta build may stop working, and you may need to install the public release to continue using Clox.
